"The Way Of The Intercepting Fist"
Founded by Bruce Lee and then developed after his death by his senior
student and friend Dan Inosanto, JKD uses principles and concepts rather
than styles in order to develop the attributes of the individual.
Such principles include interception of attack rather than blocking and
countering, and the ability to flow from any range and use any body part
against the nearest available target.
JKD emphasises the development of the individual and ultimately allows
them to find and develop their own 'way' in order to satisfy their own
needs, either from a mixture of different arts or from just one.
